Book Recommendations
One of the most frequently asked questions I receive from beginning illustration students is: "where is the best place to start" when beginning their education. Although this is a fairly broad question, the first answer is always to hone your basic drawing skills. This means learning the fundamentals of color theory, basic perspective, lighting and shadow, and of coarse, mastery of the drawing software you would use throughout your career.
There are hundreds of books to choose from in these categories but this short list was compiled from the books in my library, many of which I refer to on a regular basis.
